Yeondeunghoe, on the UNESCO intangible heritage list, held around Buddha's birthday in May. Jogyesa and the streets around it fill with paper lanterns and a night parade runs the length of Jongno, from Dongdaemun down to the temple. The one event we would actively plan a spring trip around.
