The Latest Guide The South and Snaefellsnes, Iceland
Iceland
Nine days around the south and Snaefellsnes, from Reykjavik kitchens to glacier lagoons to a peninsula at the end of the road.
Who it’s for · Free, always
We do the planning you dread, so you keep the part you love.
The name is the whole idea. The spa is the good hotel and the long, unhurried dinner; the field is the dawn swim, the trail, the boat to somewhere with no road in. Field & Spa is for travelers who want a little luxury without giving up the adventure that makes a place worth the trip, and every guide is built to deliver both in the same day.
We are not here to hand you an itinerary. We do the slow, unglamorous part of planning: the deep research and the sifting through what to actually trust. You spend less time planning and more time looking forward to the trip, and the discovery stays yours. The deep work is done; you get the running start.
And it is free, all of it. It is simply the guide we always wished existed when we sat down to plan a trip of our own.
This is for you if
- You want to come home knowing a place, not just having passed through it.
- You will trade a night in the room for a dawn swim, a long walk, or a boat to somewhere with no road in.
- You love a good bed and a long dinner, and you love leaving them behind for the day.
- You would rather go deep on one destination than skim a list of fifty.
Probably not, if
- The only question that matters is how cheaply it can be done. We chase value, not the lowest possible number.
- You want a resort you never have to leave, where the pool, the golf, and the tennis courts are the whole holiday. Wonderful, simply not what we cover.
Adventure and a little luxury, in equal measure.
How a guide works
One destination, the whole trip in one place.
Every guide opens with a short, bespoke video that flies over the map, then walks through everything you’d weigh before booking: must-dos, where to stay, what to eat, the budget, and more. Each one also comes with a clonable itinerary to start from, laid out the way we ran the trip: a day-by-day plan, the budget, a packing checklist, and the resources we used.
The atlas
Every guide, gathered on one map.
The whole publication, plotted. Open the map to start with the world, drop into any country we’ve covered, and filter to lodging, eats, activities, and the places worth the detour.
