Botnsdalur (Glymur hike)

Up the Botnsdalur valley toward Glymur, autumn colors out.

A four-hour loop at the head of Hvalfjordur up to Glymur, one of the tallest waterfalls in the country, with a log-and-cable river crossing and a steep, rooty climb. The best leg-stretch of the trip on the way back toward Reykjavik. Wear real boots and check the crossing is in.
