Gerduberg Cliffs

Gerduberg, Snaefellsnes Peninsula

A long wall of near-perfect hexagonal basalt columns rising straight off the flat land as you come onto the Snaefellsnes peninsula. You can walk right up to the base and along the top. A quick, free roadside stop that most people blow past on the way to Kirkjufell.
